RUN IN SUPPORT OF CHARITY

Sister Sheds CLG has teamed up with charity running partner, realbuzz, to offer people the chance to run in support of our organisation, in a number of world-famous marathon and half marathon events. Entrants will receive full fundraising support and ideas throughout their journey, plus an exclusive charity champion finisher pack, courtesy of realbuzz.

Ursula to run Dublin Marathon

On 27th October 2024, Ursula Frawley, owner of Move It Fitness and a member of Sister Sheds CLG (Firhouse Shed, Dublin), will be taking part in the Irish Life Dublin Marathon. It’s a personal journey and dream of Ursula’s to partake in a marathon before she turns 50 years young in 2025, and she would like to donate her run in aid of Sister Sheds CLG as her partnering charity.

“I’m running my first marathon and will run the streets of Dublin City for the amazing Sister Sheds. They do so much work in the community connecting women with women! All funds raised will go directly to this great cause – their aim is to provide support and a safe space for women of all ages. They are supporting my dream to run a marathon, and I want to support this super charity to continue to expand and support women in more locations around Ireland!”, says Ursula.

Launched in 1980, the race is Europe’s fourth largest marathon and a one of the largest AbbottWMM Wanda Age Group World Rankings Qualifying races outside the Majors. More than 16,000 runners from over 60 countries took to the city centre course in 2023. The race starts at Fitzwilliam Street Upper and will finish in Merrion Square North, a day thousands of participants will take to the streets of Dublin.
